Education & Youth Development

Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program provides merit-based grants of up to $500 to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement and active community involvement. Recipients are selected through a structured evaluation process that considers service, leadership, and essay quality.

Beyond financial assistance, the program offers life skills workshops, professional development training, and leadership development for students from elementary through college. By investing in education, FILAMemphis cultivates future professionals, advocates, and community leaders.

FEB-IBIG

FEB-IBIG is FILAMemphis’ signature Valentine’s fundraising initiative in support of our Scholarship Program. This multi-faceted campaign combines celebration and philanthropy through three key activities:

  • Valentine’s Dinner & Dance Party, a ticketed community event

  • King & Queen of Hearts, a peer-led fundraising campaign

  • FOOD-IBIG, a community baked goods sale

Beyond fundraising, FEB-IBIG strengthens networks within the Filipino-American community while cultivating a spirit of generosity. Proceeds directly expand educational opportunities for our youth, reinforcing our long-term investment in future leaders.

Youth Day (Formerly Field Day)

Youth Day offers structured outdoor activities that build teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship among our younger members. Designed to strengthen peer relationships and leadership potential, the program provides safe and engaging spaces for youth development.

Through active participation, young members build confidence and deepen their connection to the Filipino-American community.
